Joan Comer Owen

Joan Comer Owen, 82, of Beech Dr. Lexington went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in Forsyth Medical Center.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike McDaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday just prior to the service and other times at the home on Beech Dr.   Mrs. Owen was born October 23, 1934 in Graham County to Frank Donald Comer and Ida Ree Everhart Comer. She was a loving, faithful wife of 53 years, loving mother, caring sister, cherished friend and a dedicated prayer warrior and most of all a woman of God who accepted Christ as her Savior many years ago. She was a retired employee of United Furniture and a member of Jersey Baptist Church.   Surviving are her husband, Ernest Vernon Owen of the home; two daughters, Cindy Koll (Steve), Kristi Mount (Chad) both of Iowa, two grandchildren, Kelly Koll, Katie Koll and a brother, James W.
