JoAnn Moore Hall, 72, of Oak Hill Drive, died peacefully Thursday, July 12, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Solomon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Hall was born June 1, 1940, in Buncombe County, to Harvey Moore and Ethel Finnder Moore. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and liked to play Bingo, travel and go fishing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by grandchild, Christian Shannon Bowman; a brother, Harold Moore; and sisters, Penny Moore, Cylene Moore, and Louise Harris.
Surviving are her loving husband, Buddy Allen Hall of the home; son, Scottie Hall of Lexington; daughters, Tammy Grubbs and husband Tony of Midway, Pam Wingo and husband John of Florida, and April Hall and her loving companion Jody Bowman of Lexington; five grandchildren, Garrett Ray Owens, Daniel Berrier and wife, Mayra, Joshua Hall, Jessica Harrington and husband Chris Webb, Timothy Hall, all of Lexington and Hunter and Fisher Wingo of Florida; great-grandchildren, Addison Hall, Isabella Berrier, Sophia Berrier, Kayley Webb, Sarah Webb and Trevor Hall; brothers, James Moore and wife Edna Mae of Ashville, and Ottis Moore of Old Fort; sisters, Mayble Whittaker of Swannonoa, Maxine Barnwell, Marthine Sutton and husband Jim, both of Asheville, and Vickie Ellison and husband, Ralph of Alabama; and special friends, Bobby and Shirley Hill.
