Joann Jacqueline Simpson

Joann Jacqueline  Simpson, age 54 of Lexington passed away Wednesday June 19, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center.

A funeral service will be 3:00 pm Sunday June 23, 2019 at Psalm 91 Church where she was a member. The service will be conducted by Rev. Max Shoaf and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 2-3 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home.

She was born April 22, 1965 in Alamance County to Albert Clinton Simpson Jr. and Lucienne Desfleurs Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents.  She won many medals in The Special Olympics  swimming, bowling and playing basketball. She loved to color, dance, enjoyed Mt.Dew and all things  that sparkled.

Surviving are  a brother, Larry Sherman of Lexington. Her sisters, Marie Simpson of Lexington, Ann Billings of Ronda, Pam Sherman of Ronda and Lisa Carlson of Lexington. Also surviving are other extended family.

The family would like to thank Davidson County EMS, NC Baptist Hospital and The Davidson County Rescue Squad and everyone else who touched her life  with love and concern.
