Joann Byers Sink

Joann Byers Sink, age 66, of Myers Park Drive, Lexington passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at her home after several years of declining health. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Lexington City Cemetery.   There will be no Public Visitation.   Joann was born November 12, 1945 in Seneca County, Ohio to Floyd L. Byers and Catherine Shaver Byers.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church; a retired employee of National Wholesale.  She was a graduate of Lexington High School and Appalachian Teachers College.She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Stephanie Stoner in 2002; brothers, Jerry and Larry Byers.   Surviving are; nephews, Jason Byers and wife Emily of Lexington; Jay and Craig Byers of California; great nephew, John Byers; great niece, Amelia Byers; sister in law, Carolyn Byers of Baltimore, MD; special cousin, Dr. Jeanne Moser of Ohio; life long friend and caregiver, Tish McCrary-Harvey of Lexington;   In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen- Allen, Virginia  23058-5216 or Pastor’s Pantry, PO Box 2051, Lexington, NC  27293.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
