Joe Edward Brown

Joe Edward Brown, age 73, of Magnolia Road, Lexington passed away Monday (March 28, 2011) at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday (March 31, 2011) in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.   Joe was born in Rutherford County, NC March 3, 1938 to Benjamin Glenn Brown and Mary Sue David Brown, who preceded him in death.  He was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of Rutherford Spindale High School and attended UNC Chapel Hill.  He was a retired Sales Representative with Chelsea House in Gastonia.  He was a veteran serving his country in the US Army.   Surviving are wife; Norma Turner Brown of the home; one daughter, Stephanie B. Brown of Greensboro; one son, W. Travis Brown of Greensboro; one sister, Martha B.
