Joe Clawson

Mr. Joe M. Clawson, Sr., age 74, of Leonard Road, Lexington, died Thursday, January 17, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 23 at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church conducted by Rev. David Shaffer. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Clawson was born in Davidson County December 2, 1933. He was co-owner and operator of Clawson Pool Service. He was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a lifetime member of the Welcome AMVET Post. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Betty Clawson He is survived by sons, Mike Clawson and wife, Teri, of Lexington and David Mitchell Clawson of Butner; and his grandchildren: Michael Shane Clawson of Lexington and Brittany Nicole Clawson of Mocksville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 2806 Leonard Road, Lexington.
