Joe Don Gallimore age 77 of Winston Salem passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House with family by his side. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Fletcher and Rev. T. W. Bailey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel other times at the home.
Joe was born February 3, 1935 in Randolph County to Troy E. Gallimore and Edith Loflin Gallimore. Joe was the owner of Midway meats for 45 years and Olde World Meat Market for 4 years. He was serious when it came to work and loved to pick and have fun with his employees. Joe loved his savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family whether it was teaching his son to fish or grandchildren to play golf, which he loved doing, or sharing life’s lessons. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother; T E (Jr.) Gallimore, his sister; Shirley Hedrick.
Surviving are his wife Patricia Burcham Gallimore of the home, daughters; Teresa Gallimore Neal (Ron) of Clemmons, Sharon Gallimore Sink (Richard) of Lexington and Laura Renae Burcham of the home, his sons; Randy Don Gallimore (Debra) of Thomasville, Jeffrey Leland Gallimore of Lexington, Gregory Kim Gallimore & fiancée Rebecca of Lexington, Joseph Donavan Gallimore of the home, his brothers; Jerry Gallimore (Nancy) of Lexington, his sisters; Lois Parrish of Denton, Joyce Lambeth of Denton, Peggy Lambeth (Larry) of Myrtle Beach, Norma Hall (Sidney) of Asheboro, grandchildren; Debbie, David, Aiden, Misty, Cassie, Dana, Kevin, Laura, Darrell, Emily, Anna, great grandchildren; Jessica, Summer, Maci, Kelsey, Bryson, Alexis, Kendall, his brother inlaw; Vann, sister inlaw; Helen.
