Joe Kube

James John “Joe” Kube, age 66, of Berrier Avenue, Lexington died Sunday in Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Wesleyan Church, Greensboro, where he was a member, by the Rev. Jonathan Lewis. Mr. Kube was born in Albemarle County, Va., on August 27, 1941, to Thomas William Kube and Josephine Bobst Kube. He was a retired employee of Design Master Displays. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Thomas W. Kube Jr. Surviving are sons, David Kube and Mike Kube and wife, Tessa, all of Lexington; daughters, Vickie Kube of Pleasant Garden and Kelly Kube of Lexington; granddaughters, Brandi and Lexi Kube; sisters, Mildred Stephenson of Hollywood, Md., Ruth Elizabeth Hage of Monroeville, N.J., Lillie Achenson of Dillsboro, Lucy Smith of Apex; and sister-in-law, Joyce Kube of Mechanicsville, Va. There will be no public visitation.
