Joshua DeWayne "Joe" Lilly, 31, of Friendship Church Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Health — Lexington Medical Center. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church by Dr. Ray Howell III and Brandon Davis. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Michelle Hopkins, 407 Westover Drive, or his parents, Robert and Robin Lilly, 1448 Jubilee Road, Churchland. Joe was born in Mann, W.Va., on Feb. 8, 1982, to Robert DeWayne Lilly and Robin Breeding Lilly. He was employed at Jeld-Wen and attended Davidson County Community College. Joe was an exceptional artist and loved to teach his daughter, Zowe, the love of drawing. He also loved cars and would attend car shows, taking Zowe with him. Surviving are his wife, Jessica Walser Lilly; daughter Zowe Mae of the home; his parents of Churchland; brother Chandis Robert Lilly and wife Amanda of Churchland; mother-in-law Michelle Hopkins and husband William of Lexington and father-in-law Jimmy Walser and wife Emily of Lexington; nieces Courtney Sams and Staci Lester; and nephews Austin Sams and Kevin Lester.
