Joe Irving Pierce

Joe Irving Pierce, 79 of Brookstone Retirement Center, Lexington died Friday morning in Lexington Memorial Hospital after declining health of several months. Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Sammy Allison. Mr. Pierce was born in Greenville, SC on September 27, 1928 to Cephus Morris Pierce and Emma Lee Fletcher Pierce. He was retired from Lacy Miller Machine and was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Welcome. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura M. Chappell Pierce and a brother Robert Pierce. Surviving are: Son Joe C. Pierce and wife Patty of Clemmons; Daughter Reba P. Weaver and husband David of Vian, Oklahoma, one Sister Nancy Pilgrim of Georgia and two Grandchildren; Scott Weaver and wife Lori of Piedmont, Oklahoma and Brian Weaver of Edmond, Oklahoma. The family will see friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday. At other times they will be at the home of his son home in Clemmons
