Joe Reid "Duck" Reich

Joe R. “Duck” Reich, age 87 of Reeds Community passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Lexington Health Care. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Reeds United Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Barry Queen officiating. There will be no public visitation. Joe was born in Davidson County August 31, 1930 to Willie and Addie Craver Reich. He was a member of Reeds United Methodist Church and a charter member of Reeds Fire Department. He was owner of Joe Reich Grading Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Willie Shoaf, brothers, Paul and Bobby Reich; step-sister, Anna Lynn Potts. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Swicegood Reich of the home; son, Ricky Reich and wife Freddie; grandson, Jonathan Reich and wife Abigail Gifford, M.D.; step-sisters, Audrey Everhart and Carol Phillips and husband Buford; step-brothers, James Carlton Shoaf and wife Virginia and Alfred Shoaf; sister-in-law, Betty Reich.
