Joe Reid

Joe Reid age 66, of High Rock Shores Drive, Lexington passed away at his home on Saturday. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Holloways Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Barnhill officiating.  Burial will follow in Holloways Baptist Church Cemetery.   Joe was born in Guilford County, February 6, 1942 to Frank Reid and Mearlene Cecil Reid. He was owner operator of Lakeside Tire and a member of Holloways Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son-in-law Tip Cross.   Surviving are: two daughters, Deborah Cross of Lexington and Christine Huffman and husband Mark of Florida; one brother, Larry Reid of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Merle Scott of Sherrills Ford, NC and Patricia Watson of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Robert Scott Rumley, II, Morgan Whitley Cross, Barett Taylor Cross of Lexington and Paige Garland Huffman of Florida and the mother of his children, Joan W. Reid of Clemmons; special feline friends Fluffy, Toby, Angel, and Shadow.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington and other times at the home on High Rock Shores Dr.   Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Davidson County, P.O.
