Joe Dan Riddle Jr.

Joe Dan Riddle Jr., 79, of Linwood Southmont Road, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Lexington Health Care, after a four week illness. Graveside service 11 a.m. Tuesday at Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Sanford, with the Brother Charlie Riddle of Hanes Baptist Church, Winston-Salem officiating. Mr. Riddle was born March 5, 1930, in Lee County, North Carolina, to Joe Dan Riddle Sr. and Lillious Stout Riddle. He was retired from Duracell. Mr. Riddle was a member of First Baptist Church of Sanford and he enjoyed sharing his love for Bluegrass music with others. Surviving are a son, Danny D. Riddle and wife, Kathy, of Winston-Salem; a grandchild, Charlie Riddle and wife, Cindy, of Winston-Salem; three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Camryn, and Erica Riddle; a brother, Bobby C. Riddle Sr. and wife, Laura, of Sanford; a nephew, Bobby C. Riddle, Jr. of Sanford. Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is serving the family.
