John Woodrow Blankenship, Jr.

John Woodrow Blankenship, Jr, 60 of Waitman Rd., Lexington died Saturday at his home after an illness of one year. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by Rev. Matthew Farabow. Mr. Blankenship was born March 6, 1945 in Catawba County to John Woodrow Blankenship, Sr. and Vergie Viola Evans. He retired from Binnings after 42 years of service. Preceding him in death were his father and a brother, Bobby Blankenship. He is survived by his wife, Linda Blankenship of the home; his daughters, Tina Jones and Donna Berry and her husband, John, all of Lexington; his grandchildren: Morgan Berry, Landon Berry and Steven Jones, all of Lexington; his mother, Vergie Blankenship of Lexington; his sisters: Doris Mode and her husband, Bill, Nancy Owen and her husband, Glenn, all of Lexington.
