John William Caudle

October 12, 1930 — February 4, 2020

John William Caudle, 89, of Lou Lane in Lexington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 8 th at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Chapel with Minister Brock Shanks officiating the service.

Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Caudle was born on October 12, 1930 in Union County, NC to Clyde Caudle and Leona Maye Williams Caudle.  He retired from Frank iX and Son and attended Lexington Church of Christ.  John was a ‘Jack of all trades” who would sit in his garage and figure out how to fix things as well as being gifted at woodworking.  He was past vice president of Davidson County Association for the Deaf and had a love of bowling.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Talmadge, Jim and Harold; sisters, Doris Amick, Ruth McAlister and Carolyn Clark; and great-grandson, Jacob Berrier.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ruby Jean Millsaps Caudle, of the home; son, Jeff Caudle (Janet) of Lexington; brothers, Ned Caudle (Ida) and Fred Caudle, both of Valdese, NC; 2 grandchildren, Jason Caudle of Lexington, Holly Berrier and Jeremie of Thomasville; and 3 great-grandchildren, Reid Caudle, Waylon Berrier, and Julianna Caudle.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Davidson County and Bayada Home Health for the love and care they gave to Mr. Caudle.
