John Samuel Cummings Jr.

John Samuel Cummings, Jr., 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 16, 2026, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston-Salem. Visitation will follow the service.

He was born on August 20, 1943, to John Samuel Cummings, Sr. and Katherine Mae Sprinkle Cummings.

John was a welder, by trade in the construction industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his brother, Walter Cummings.
