John Curry

John Robert Curry, age 87, of Lexington passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Holly Grove Lutheran Church with Pastor Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Curry was born in Davidson County on September 14, 1931 to Odell Monroe Curry and Gladys Mae Black Curry. He was a retired superintendent, having worked for Stanley Furniture and was a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church. Mr. Curry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Steven Curry; and a brother, Frank Curry.

Surviving are his loving wife, Billie Moore Curry of the home; his daughter, Christy Curry Flynt of High Point; a daughter-in-law, Andi Curry of Thomasville; four sisters, Betty Koontz (Leon) , Connie McMahan (Nelson), Martha Byerly and Nancy Swicegood (Leon) all of Lexington; four grandchildren, Alex, Samm, Madi and Jack; and one precious great-granddaughter, Snow.
