John Daniel Younts

John Daniel Younts, age 61 of Yountz Road, Lexington passed away Monday morning January 25, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, January 29, 2016 at Pilgrim Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. James Messer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service, in the church fellowship hall. John was born in Davidson County October 25, 1954 to John Turner Younts, Sr. and Frances Grubb Younts. He was a member of New Friendship United Church of Christ and attended Pilgrim Free Will Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of North Carolina Department of Transportation for Davidson County. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice Hopkins and brother, Bobby Ellis Younts. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tammy Gibbs Younts of the home; daughter, Danielle Younts-Pennington and husband Bruce of Cooleemee; son Terry Younts of the home and a grandson, Jacob Lee Pennington.
