John Pinkston Essick

John Pinkston Essick was born in Davidson County on February 17 1933. John left this world to be with the Lord on 03/14/2023.

Mr. Essick was preceded in death by his wife: Edith Shelton Essick, parents: Frank Clifford and Mary Magdalene Hanes Essick; his brothers: Alfred Essick and Clifford Essick.

Surviving are his four children: Dwayne Essick, Phillip Essick, his spouse, Jackie, Michael Essick, all of Davidson County NC, Sharon Essick of Pender County NC; two grandchildren: Hannah Essick of Lexington, NC, John Essick and his spouse, Rebecca, a great granddaughter, Lanie Emilia Essick, along with an expected great grandchild due to arrive in October 2023, all of Winston-Salem, NC.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, 03/19/2023 at the Lexington City Cemetery officiated by Preacher Clyde Akers. The family will see family and friends one hour prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home.
