John Cleveland Everhart

John Everhart, 76, of Davidson County, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at his son’s home.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Davidson Funeral Home with a visitation an hour prior from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

John was born on June 14, 1946, in Davidson County to Mr. Woodrow Everhart and Mrs. Eula Richardson Everhart.  He worked many years as a truck driver, retiring from Roadway. John was proud to serve his country in the Army and was a former Commander in the American Legion. Some of his hobbies included collecting, fishing, and camping. But most of all, he loved to garden, and had a special talent for growing tomatoes. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Meredith.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Saundra Morris Everhart, of the home; son, Stan Everhart and wife, Penny of Lexington; grandson, Spencer Everhart and wife, Rachel of Lexington; great grandson, Trexler; and his beloved fur-baby, Wolfgang.
