John Tillet Farabee

John Tillet Farabee, III, age 68 of Cleveland Drive, Southmont community passed away early Sunday morning at Forsyth Medical Center.   Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Reeds United Methodist Church, where he was a member with Revs. Duncan Martin and Gary Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Reeds United Methodist Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday and at other times at the home of Mary Anne Sloop, 226 Wrenn Blvd., Lexington, NC  27292.   John was born in Davidson County February 18, 1945 to John Tillet Farabee, II and Mary Wampler Farabee. He was a self employed building contractor; served in the US Army, was a member of Allied Veterans post 17 and an active member of High Rock River Rats. He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Chris Marcum.   Surviving are his brother,David Farabee of Lexington;sisters, Jeannette Marcum and Mary Anne Sloop and husband, Rusty, Leah Farabee all of Lexington; nieces, Melanie Canovai and Kathy Marcum; nephews, Mark Marcum, Michael Lewis and wife, Dorothy, Joel Lewis, and Josh Lewis and wife, Cristy, and Clay Farabee.   Memorials may be directed to High Rock River Rats, PO Box 567, Southmont, NC  27351.     Online Condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
