John Franklin Thompson

Mr. John Franklin Thompson, 89, passed away Friday May 10th, 2024 in the comfort of his home. Mr. Thompson was born March 15th, 1935 in Surry County to Wilmer Thompson and Loretha Sparks Thompson. Mr. Thompson was Owner and Operator of Salem Produce LLC and took pride in his yard work. Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife Louise Moser Thompson; sister, Jennifer Thompson Trivette(Robert); children, son and daughters, Jeff Thompson(Jill), Lesia Lege’(Jeffrey), Angela Koons(Randy); two step-daughters, Tamra Hall, Tracy Yarborough(David); grandchildren, Chase Thompson(Tori), Olivia Smith(Kyle), Jacob Thompson(MaKayla), Nicholas Lege’, Hannah Yarborough, Lanie Raines(Austyn), Harrison Hall; great-grandchildren, Korbin Smith and Tinley Thompson. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:30 am May 16th, 2024 at Oak Forest United Methodist Church. The Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:15 am prior to the service. An Inurnmemt will follow at the Church Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Forest United Methodist Church Winston Salem, NC 27107.
