John Lee Freeman, 78, of Davidson County, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024.
He will be lying in state Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.
John was born on December 22, 1945, to the late John Freeman and Mary Edith Hancock Freeman. He proudly served his country in the Army until being wounded in Vietnam when he was then honorably discharged. John loved fishing and enjoyed spending time by the ponds around his house. He always had a smile on his face and a contagious laugh that drew many people in.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Freeman; and three sisters, Irene “Peggy” Queen, Frankie Ernest, and Ethel Hancock.
Left to cherish his family is his daughter, Tiffany Alexander (Wesley), of Lexington; son, John Freeman, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Tyler McKown, and Kayla Everhart; two great-grandchildren; niece, Shelia Elbertson, of Kentucky; and sweet fur-baby, Mekenzie.
