John Edward Hailey

John Edward Hailey, 81, of Old Mill Farm Road, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mr. Hailey was born February 17, 1931, in Davidson County, to William Hill Hailey and Luella Link Hailey. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force; was retired from Gravely Tractor and attended Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Potts Hailey; and sisters, Geneva Everhart and Rachel Hailey. Surviving are son, Billy Hailey and fiancé Tammy, of Lexington; grandchildren, Cody Hailey, Zach Hailey, Cathan Hailey, and Dwayne Eller; and five great-grandchildren.
