John Marvin Haynes Sr.

December 10, 1917 — September 2, 2017

John Marvin Haynes, Sr., 99, of Reedy Creek passed away Saturday at Grayson Creek Assisted Living in Welcome.     A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph M. Fulk, III officiating.     Mr. Haynes was born December 10, 1917 in Davidson County to John Marvin Hanes and Rosa Mae Zimmerman Hanes. He was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church and a retired electrician for McLean Trucking of Winston-Salem. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Myers Haynes; sons, Larry Hanes and Terry Hanes; and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Hanes.   Surviving are sons, Johnny Hanes and wife, Ruth, Danny Haynes and wife, Diane, all of Lexington, and Kevin Haynes and wife, Sonya of Coats; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Travis Hanes and wife Evva and Guy Hanes all of Clemmons.   Special thanks to the staff of Grayson Creek Assisted Living of Welcome and Community Home Care & Hospice of Asheboro for their loving support and care.    In lieu of flowers memorials, may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice of Asheboro 533 S.
