John Herman Hinkle

John Herman Hinkle 76 of Lexington passed away at his home Wednesday, December 16, 2015 with his family by his side. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Revs. Chris Bennett, Lauren Anderson and Ronnie Walser officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. John was born on January 17, 1939 in Davidson County to the late Harvey Lee Hinkle, Sr. and Ruby Proctor Hinkle. He worked at Foam Tech, served in the National Guard and was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harvey Lee Hinkle, Jr. Surviving are his wife Linda Byerly Hinkle of the home; daughter, Diana Crotts (Greg) of Lexington; sisters, Dixie Beatrice Kerns, Mary Jane Ricker (Paul), Barbara Ann Trivette (Bobby) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Tiffany Lin Crotts and Timothy Lee Crotts; mother-in-law Vaudy Byerly. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
