John "Johnny" Russell Pearce, 70, of Grimes Boulevard, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at High Point Regional Hospital after five months of declining health.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. David Shaffer. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Pearce was born Feb. 19, 1936, in Franklin County to Gideon Russell Pearce and MaRue Bachelor Pearce. He was owner/operator for 24 years of P.S. Precision Grinding Co. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Welton Lawrence Pearce.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Patterson Pearce of the home; one daughter, Sherry P. Kinney and her husband, David, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Christy Knight and her husband, Tim, and Kerri-Beth Kinney, all of Lexington; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Chloe Mae Pearce of Knightdale and Carolyn P. Perry and Margaret P. O'Neal, both of Zebulon.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home.
