John Boyce Jones, 74, originally from Mocksville, went by “Boyce” resided in Lexington NC with his wife Idell Marie Jones until she passed in 2019.
Boyce was born on September 29, 1950, in Davidson County, to William Boyce Jones and Peggy Ann Chandler Jones. Boyce worked at Stanley Furniture for over thirty years as a foreman until the manufacturing plant closed in 2008. Outside his work, he enjoyed hobbies with his wife such as carpentry, and making crafts for their home. Together, they enjoyed Christian Folk and Gospel tunes of faith; their commitment to each other was also as loyal as their spiritual marriage of true love.
Boyce was deeply loved by his friends, family, and extended Shore Family. He touched all who he met and by all who surrounded him. Boyce was a devoted man to his fellowship, and to the teachings of Jesus Christ, he fully lived as a man of his word and as a good Christian.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday November 9, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Elder John Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Elbaville Church Cemetery, in Advance. The family will see friends one hour before the service.
