John Wilborn Kilby

John Wilborn Kilby, age 69 of North Koontz road, Lexington passed away Tuesday evening at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Madison Heights Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a member with Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service. John was born in Wilkes County, NC June 27, 1945 to L. Thurman and Geraldine Phillips Kilby. He was a retired employee of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Jane Kilby. John is survived by his wife, Susan Seymore Kilby of the home; sons, John Wilborn Kilby, Jr. (Rhonda) and Anthony Scott Kilby (Tiffany) all of Lewisville, Tim Lee Kilby (Angie) of High Point, David Mullies of Lexington; daughter, Tammy Sharpe (Shannon) of Lexington; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Remonda Williams of Wilkes County; brothers, Joe Kilby of Yadkin County and June Kilby of Louisiana.
