John Koontz

Mr. John Gilbert Koontz , age 63 of Brian Center and formerly of Elwin Circle, Lexington, NC died Saturday, May 2 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. No Services are planned at this time. Mr. Koontz was born May 11, 1945 in Davidson County to Early Leonard Koontz, Sr. and Willie Mae Clement Koontz. He was a retired custodian with Reeds Elementary School and was of Baptist faith. He was married to Nellie Marie Bowman Koontz who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his father and by a brother Early Leonard Koontz, Jr. Mr. Koontz is survived by his mother, Willie Mae C. Koontz of Brian Center, by a sister, Linda Koontz Goins of Lexington, special nephews, Ricky Goins and Brian Goins and special nieces, Ginger Moore and Jennifer Rowe. Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
