John William Myers

November 17, 1929 — May 7, 2025

John William Myers, 95, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025. He lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at North Lexington Baptist Church with Rev. Gavin Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

John was born on November 17, 1929, in Davidson County to Clayton and Olga Beck Myers. He worked at Coble Dairy for 44 years and then went on to work at Davidson County Transportation for 12 years. He was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church for many years, where he spent time volunteering in the church’s outreach program, touching countless lives through his service.  His legacy of hard work, faith, and devotion to his family will live on all who knew him. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Georgia Myers, who passed in 2022 and his daughter, Georgia Ann McBride. Also preceding him are his brothers; Darrell Myers, Steve Myers, and Donald Myers, his sisters; Frances Parmley, Vera Mae Norton, and Brenda Sowers.

Left to cherish his memories are his children; Johnny Dean Myers, Tony Ray Myers (Nancy), his sister, Gail Beck, as well as his beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Davidson Funeral Home Lexington is serving the family during their time of need.
