John Brian Patterson

John Brian Patterson, 51, passed away peacefully at his home in Davidson County on May 24, 2026.

Born on July 3, 1974, in Davidson County, John was the son of John Morgan Patterson and Dawne Stewart Patterson. He spent his life in the community he loved and was well known for his love of family, and passion for sports and the outdoors.

John had a lifelong love of football, especially his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He not only enjoyed playing football and baseball throughout his life, but he also found joy in coaching children through sports.

Outside of sports, John cherished time spent outdoors hunting and fishing. Above all else, he loved his family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dawne Stewart Patterson, and his Infant Daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Patterson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, John Morgan Patterson; his beloved wife, Anna Irene Brady Patterson; his sons, John Lucas Patterson and Derek Jay Patterson; his daughter, Mallory Drew Patterson; his brother, Matthew Patterson; his sister, Jennifer Patterson Jackson; and a host of adored nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor John’s life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at North Lexington Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
