John David Pruitt

John David Pruitt, 87 of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 4 ^th at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. David Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the cemetery.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing and mask are requested.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from noon until 1:00pm prior to the service at the mausoleum.

John was born on July 27, 1933 in Bedford County, Virginia to Robert Lee and Essie Jane Reynolds Pruitt.  He retired from Dixie Furniture in Linwood and attended Madison Heights FWB Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert, James, Lewis, Giles, Clyde Pruitt and sister, Eva Pruitt.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kathryn Elizabeth Crouch Pruitt, of the home; son, Sherman Pruitt (Annette) of Tabor City; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
