John Author Rich

John Arthur Rich, 77, of Allen Yountz Lane, Lexington passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Bermuda Commons.  The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.

Mr. Rich was born August 11, 1942 in  in Ashevile to Homer L. Rich and  Essie McElrath Rich.  He was a retired self employed Brick Mason and was of the Baptist faith. John was a hard worker and enjoyed working on Cars.  He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Albert Rich, Alvin Rich, Floyd Rich, Clyde Rich and Ernest Rich.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Shaw Rich of the home; two sons, Eddie Rich (Tina), Johnny Rich (Mary), Randy Rich all of Lexington, a step-son, Robert Shaw of Linwood; three brothers, Rob Rich (Helen), Harley Rich both of High Point, Millard Rich of Georgia and a sister, Beulah Mae Tysingter of Welcome; six grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
