John Prince Stogner, III, 48, of South County Home Road, died suddenly Friday, April 09, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, April 14 at Second United Church of Christ, with the Revs. Dr. Joe Coltrane and Gary Foster officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Stogner was born November 12, 1961, in Goldsboro, NC to John Prince Stogner Jr. and Evelyn Fox Stogner. He earned an Associates Degree of Arts from Davidson County Community College; was Regional Manager at Hometown TV Today. Mr. Stogner attended Second United Church of Christ, was a former member of the Elks Lodge, former board member of the Special Olympics, and an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are his wife, Paula Medlin Stogner of the home; daughters, Brooke Stogner and Jordan Stogner; step-son, Zack Hutchinson of the home, his mother of Lexington; sisters, Kathy Henderson and husband, Allen, of Georgetown, Texas, and Beth Savicki and husband, Michael, of Lexington; nieces and nephews, Evelyn Henderson of Texas, Ross Henderson and wife, Shonna, of Texas, Jennifer Stogner, Merrick Dyson and Riley Dyson, all of Lexington, and Emily Shaughnessy of Winston-Salem, sister-in-law, Julie Dyson and husband, Greg of Lexington; brother-in-law, Mike Medlin of Lexington.
