John Swicegood

Mr. John Thomas Swicegood, age 82 of Midway died Friday, November 20 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, November 23 at Faith Missionary Alliance Church conducted by Pastor Rev. Michael Gates and Pastor Rev. Albert Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Swicegood was born March 7, 1927 in Davidson County to Harley Swicegood and Carrie Cranford Swicegood who preceded him in death. He was a member of Faith Missionary Alliance Church and a Fireman with the Midway Volunteer Fire Department with 40 years of service. Mr. Swicegood is survived by his wife of 59 years Nellie Clodfelter Swicegood of the home. The family will see friends from 2:30 to 3:30 PM Monday at the Church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Faith Missionary Alliance Church, 1077 Gumtree Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
