John Curtis Walser age 83, of North N.C. Hwy 150 died Wednesday evening at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem , N.C. after a illness of three months. He was born March 19, 1925 in Davidson County to Wiley Curtis and Bertie Painter Walser. He was owner of J.W. Used Cars and of the Methodist faith.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday November 30, 2008 at Good Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Revs. Chris Bennett and Keith White, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Walser is survived by his wife of 61 years Carrie Younts Walser of the home; one son John Wayne Walser and wife Janie of Lexington; two grandchildren, Jared Walser and wife Hollie, and Mark Walser and wife Chrissy both of Lexington; two great-granchildren Dawson and Tylor Walser and six sisters, Mabel Liner, Mary Lou Freedle, Eva Mae McLemore, Judie Bailey, Jenell Lankford and Frances Varner all of Lexington.
Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Saturday November 29, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel 858 Hickory Tree Road, Winston Salem, N.C., other times the family will be at the home of the son, 431 Reedy Creek Baptist Church Road, Lexington, N.C..
