John Voils Warfford

John Voils Warfford, 92, of NC Highway 8, dies Sunday November 17, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday November 20, 2013 at Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Billy Pearson and Rev. Franklin Myers officiating the services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friend at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday November 19, and other times at the home. Mr. Warfford was born July 20, 1921 in Davidson County to Henry Warfford and Leora Owen Warfford. He was retired from Proctor and Swartz and was preceded in death by his parents as well as a son Johnny Warfford, a daughter Debbie Warfford, two brothers; Fred Warfford and Hollis Wofford and one sister Geraldine Holmes. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Hartley Warfford of the home, one daughter; Sherry Penninger; three grandchildren; Chad Penninger and wife Lori, Michael Penninger and wife Silvia and Kelly Musgrave and husband Clyde, and six great-grandchildren; Charlan Penninger, Kelty Beam, Nelson Beam, Brian Penninger, Madison Musgrave and Amber Penninger.
