John Watts

John Watts Jr., 65, of Wenco Drive, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by Elder Danny Pope. Mr. Watts was born July 2, 1940, in Burke County to John Roy Watts and Lorena Berry Watts. He was a retired employee of Lexington Furniture, Plant No. 5, and a member of Lexington's Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandra Renee Wood; and a brother, Jim Watts. Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie Shaw Watts of the home; one son, Terry Ray Watts and his wife, Sharon, of Lexington; one daughter, Karen Peterson and her husband, Danny, of Lexington; four grandchildren, T.J. Watts, Crystal Watts, Cassandra Blackmon and Kristen Allie Koonts; eight great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the home of Amy and Dale Holmes at 25 N. Cecil St., Lexington.
