John "Wayne" Wilson

John Wayne Wilson, age 70, of Lexington passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his home.   A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Pauls Chapel Evangelical Reformed Church with the Rev. Aaron Long officiating.   The family will see friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.   Mr. Wilson was born on December 5, 1945 in Farmville, VA to Thomas Cleat Wilson and Anita Fields Wilson. He was a retired corrosion technician from Williams and Colonial Pipeline, served in the United States Army, and was a member of Pauls Chapel Evangelical Reformed Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Surviving are his loving wife, Linda Johnson Wilson of the home; his son, Danyon Fields Wilson and wife Kacie of Lexington, NC; his daughter, Raven Wilson Vestal of the home; his sister, Deborah Wilson Kyle and husband Bill of Fort Mill, SC; and two grandchildren, Gracie Mae Vestal, and Cleat Scott Wilson.   Memorials may be directed to Pauls Chapel Evangelical Reformed Church at 2767 West Center Street Ext Lexington, NC 27295.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
