John Stephen Wilford

John Stephen Wilford, 52, of Holly Grove Road, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Episcopal Church by the Revs. Tom King and Bonnie Duckworth. Burial will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Salisbury National Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Rowan County Honor Guard. Mr. Wilford was born Dec. 14, 1953, in Norfolk, Va., to Thomas Wilford and Evelyn Allen Wilford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the military security police. Surviving are his wife, Pam Miller Wilford of the home; two special in-laws, JoAnn Koonts and Prissy Podgaysky of Lexington; a sister, Janet Crosthwaite of Leatherhead, Sussex, England; special cousins, Don Cummings and Dottie Gatwein of Arizona and Richard Haycock of New Jersey; and his special pet, McGregor of Dundee.
