John William Beck

John “Johnny” William Beck, 64, of Old Highway 75, died Saturday, November 15, 2008. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Butch Conrad. Burial will follow in New Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Beck was born October 2, 1944. He was the son of Edward Clyde Beck and Annis Frank Beck. He was a lifelong farmer and for a brief time he was a self-employed truck driver. Mr. Beck was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his fiancé, Brenda Bryant of Lexington; aunts, Lois B. Gallimore and husband, David, Paige B. Nance, Sadie B. Peacock, all of Lexington; uncles, Dermont Beck and wife, Gladys, and Wayne Beck and wife, Mary Sue, all of Lexington; his beloved canine companion, Maggie; and his fiancés family, Donna Clodfelter and husband, Jack and her family, Amanda Parris and husband, Michael and their son, Luke; Tim Sidden and wife, Debbie; and Rocky Sidden. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at their respective homes. Memorials may be made to one of his favorite charities, Senior Services Home Delivered Meals or In Home Aide services, 106 Alma Owens Drive, Lexington, NC 27292.
