John William Everhart

June 15, 1957 — October 13, 2024

John William Everhart (Little John) age 67, went home peacefully to be with Jesus on Sunday October 13,2024. A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 15 at Arcadia Church of Christ where he was a member, conducted by Bobby Leonard and Tony Morrison.  A burial will follow in the church cemetery. Guest are welcome to the home following graveside.

John was born June 15,1957, in Davidson County to the late William McKinley and Goldie Lois Craver Everhart (Tuddie).He retired from R.J Reynolds, and was also a lifelong farmer and served previously on the board of directors of the Triad Horseman's Association. He coached T-ball for Arcadia, Reedy Creek and Welcome. John was a member of the ARCH Fire Department from 1975 until 2024, retiring after 49 dedicated years. He was baptized on February 12, 2011 in the fire department drop tank. He planned and held his annual BBQ for the community for over 30 years.

Surviving are his loving wife, Beverly Jean Brewer Everhart of the home, His children, John William Everhart Jr. (Amanda) of Wallburg, and Frances Mae Everhart Mize (Adam) of Lexington. Grandchildren: Lexi Nicole Arnold, Emma Jean Arnold, Hunter William Everhart, Lily Mae Arnold, Mayson Lee Everhart, Karson Jacob Everhart, Easton Maddox Everhart, and one great granddaughter Kinsley Rose Arnold. As well as children that he loved as his own, Glenn Chaney (Ashley) and their son John, Ashley Jennings (Kenny Ray) and their children Isaiah and Zahiah, Doug Leary (Melinda) and their children Trevor and Grace, as well as a very loved and loyal fur baby Princess.
