John David Wooten

John David Wooten, 74 died Friday April 6, 2007 at 11:25 AM in Lexington Memorial Hospital after declining heath of one year. Mr. Wooten was born on January 14, 1933 to Thomas R. Wooten and Carrie Mullinax Wooten. He retired from Norling Studios and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a sister Frances Horne. Surviving are his son David Wooten of Lexington; daughters Linda Beeson and Nina Boyd, both of Lexington; brothers Jerry Wooten of Trinity, Robert Wooten of Midway, Wayne Wooten of Biscoe,Jim Wooten of Arcadia; Alice Callicutt of Troy, Brenda Davis of Lexington and Thelma Norton of Florida; five grandchildren, Caroline Wooten, Susan Beeson, Jeff Beeson, Justin Boyd, Jennifer Boyd; and one great-granddaughter, Anna Gambill. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday at Davidson Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Ray Howell, IV officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 pm Monday prior to the service.
