John Peter "Bill" Younts

John Peter “Bill” Younts Jr., 89, of Reedy Creek Road in Lexington, passed away Friday December 24, 2021 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Friday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wesley Hall officiating services.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Church.

Mr. Younts was born on March 13, 1932 in Davidson County to John Peter Younts Sr. and Ollie Mae Kepley Younts. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley Marie Byerly Younts; and three brothers, Phelix, Younts, Odell Yountsand Lum Younts; four sisters, Allie Hedrick, Mary Hill, Pearline Yountz and Grace Bowers

Survivng are two sons, Johnny Younts (Teresa) of Reedy Creek and Randy Younts (Cathy) of Durham; 4 grandchildren; Lori Trivette (Kenneth) of Lexington, Eric Shipton (Hannah) of Kernersville, Kaylee Younts and Abby Younts of Durham; and 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church General Fund 1087 Leonard Road, Lexington NC 27295.
