Johnnie Jernigan

Johnnie Clayton Jernigan, Jr. age 44 of Ernest Smith Rd., Denton died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 after a fatal traffic accident. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 12, 2009 at High Rock Community Church in Denton with Rev. Ron Loflin officiating. Mr. Jernigan was born March 12, 1965 in Davidson county to Johnnie Clayton Jernigan, Sr. and Frances Williams Jernigan. A member of High Rock Community Church, and he was Owner/Operator of J J’s Lawn Care. Johnnie was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He had an unconditional love for all his family. Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife, Sandra England Jernigan of the home; a son, Matthew Jernigan and fiancée, Chelsea Sarver; step-mother, Jenny Jernigan of Lexington; step sons, Chris Huffman and wife, Tammy of Denton, Jason Huffman and wife, Reginia of Fieldale, VA; grandchildren, Chris Huffman, Jr, Courtney Huffman , Andrew Huffman; brother, Mike Jernigan of Lexington; sisters, Bertha Jernigan and Bethany Jernigan both of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, December 11, 2009 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home.
