Johnnie Lee Laws

Johnnie Lee Laws, 71, a resident of Kenly, formerly of Lexington, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at his residence. Johnnie was born September 17, 1951 to the late Lawrence Rufus and Elsie Rickman Laws. He worked for Lexington Furniture Industries until his retirement. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, playing cards, Monopoly, and watching Westerns. He was a member of Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Beck Laws; sisters, Edith York, Thelma Nasi, and a brother, Lawrence Laws.

A private service will be held in Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Johnnie is survived by his sons, Thomas Laws (Nicole) of Kenly, NC and Jason Laws of Cameron, NC; sisters, Ruth, Judy, Ruby, and Lillian; grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb, Connor, and Cowen.
