Juanita "Johnnie" McBrannon, 92, of Lexington, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, March 20, 2009.
Her funeral will be held in her hometown of Ferris, Texas, on Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Ferris. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Lexington at a later date.
Juanita was born in Roanoke, Texas, on June 28, 1916, to Roy and Nellie King Marsters. She was a retired bookkeeper of 31 years with National Screen Service in Dallas, Texas. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon McBrannon; her parents; two sisters, Kathryn and Dorothy; and a granddaughter, Andrea.
Surviving are her daughter, Gay Frances "G.F." Smith and her husband, Bob, of Lexington; stepdaughters Barbara Bennett and her husband, Johnny, Pam Landrum and her husband, Ray, and her stepson, Kenneth and his wife, Jenny, all of Texas; grandchildren Shelly Roberts and her husband, Charlie of Lexington, Todd Wills of San Francisco, John Bennett and his wife, Erin, Greg Bennett, Randy McBrannon, and Jeff and Bobby Horneberger, all of Texas; great-grandchildren Matthew Hammonds, Rachel Roberts of Lexington, Baylee McBrannon, Tristan Horneberger and Emily Horneberger, and her brother, C.B. Marsters, all of Texas.

Johnnie moved to Lexington to live with her daughter and son-in-law in September 2004. She loved to knit, quilt and craft. She was a member of United Methodist Women, Prayer Shawl Ministry and the Adult Fellowship Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church of Lexington.
