Johnnie William Tysinger, 74 of Lexington Health Care, formerly of Lamb Rd., Lexington died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008 in Lexington Health Care. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Rolling Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Sechrest and Rev. T.R. Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Tysinger was born October 21, 1933 in Davidson County to Elwood Travis Tysinger and Mildred Parker Tysinger. He was retired from Lexington Furniture and was a member of Rolling Heights Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Alice Lanning Tysinger, a great grandson, Daniel Tysinger, four brothers, Bradley Tysinger, Travis Tysinger, Luther Tysinger, James Tysinger and a sister, Alta Mae Frizzell.
Surviving are two sons, Ricky Lynn Tysinger and wife, Jackie Conner, Wayne Tysinger and wife, Barbara Elliott all of Lexington; three grandchildren, Michelle Giles and husband Wendell, Jeff Tysinger and wife, Bernice, Amanda Laws and husband, Tracy; seven great grandchildren, Micah Giles, Hannah Giles, Rebekah Giles, Trevor Laws, Landon Laws, Joseph Tysinger, and Christopher Tysinger. Also surviving, a brother, Robert Tysinger of Lexington and three sisters, Eloise Hilliard, Bertha Louya and Thelma Walser all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, Feb. 1, 2008 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home, 261 Lamb Rd., Lexington.
