Johnny Lee Blankenship

Johnny Lee Blankenship, 55, of Swicegood Road in Linwood, passed away Tuesday May 3, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health Center.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday May 7, 2022 at Lexington Church of God with Pastor Rodney Merrill and Pastor Stan Tuttle conducting services. Family will visit with friends 2:30-3:30. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Johnny was born December 8, 1966 in Forsyth County to Buford Lee Blankenship Sr. and Shirley Anne Dillow Blankenship. He enjoyed watching movies, reading books and spending time with his grandson Eli. Johnny was always full of life, never met a stranger and his never ending smile was contagious. He touched many people and all that knew him will truly miss him.

Surviving are his parents Buford Lee Blankenship Sr. and Shirley Anne Dillow Blankenship; his wife, Samantha Charlene Beck Blankenship of the home; his daughter, Brooke Rhodes (Nick) of Lexington; two brothers, Buford Blankenship Jr, (Cathy) of Lexington and Charles Blankenship (Norybelle) of Arizona; and his grandson Eli Blankenship.
